‘Congratulations’ to EA Music Omagh students on showcasing their talents to one of NI’s music legends, Phil Coulter!

EA Music Omagh Ensembles were recently visited by Phil Coulter, one of Northern Ireland’s most well-known musician/song writers; ‘Congratulations’, Ireland’s call and ‘Puppet on a String’ are a few songs that you might recall. 

Phil Coulter has achieved prestigious awards throughout his lifetime of a long successful musical career that started from a very young age. 

It was a real delight for Phil Coulter, accompanied by two of Ireland’s Celtic Tenors, to take time out of their busy concert schedule to come and hear our String and Wind ensembles rehearsing.  Offering inspirational insight about his own career and education, positively encouraged our young musicians.

We are very thankful to Omagh Academy for organising and hosting this special visit, showcasing our talented students and our dedicated EA Music Tutors. The support that EA Music receives from all our schools and parents across Northern Ireland is greatly appreciated and it is testament to what we all believe that music education is an imperative element to not only our children and young people’s well-being and development of lifelong skills, but also the lasting memories and friendships that are made through Music.
