Endangered Instruments of the Orchestra project awarded further funding

19th December 2025

The EAMusic Endangered Instruments of the Orchestra project in partnership with the Ulster Orchestra continues strong for its 4th year thanks to a recent funding award from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland!

EAMusic tutors deliver this project in schools with support from their partners in the Ulster Orchestra to encourage the students to play these lesser-known instruments and to develop their playing through membership of the various EAMusic ensembles.

There are now approximately 40 viola and 52 bassoon students from 8 primary and 4 post primary schools across Northern Ireland benefiting from this project. We are delighted that this project is still going strong. Thanks to Miskelly Chorale and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for their support.
