CBSM junior quartets enjoy a return to Music Festivals participation

Festival successes

The City of Belfast School of Music Junior String Quartets enjoyed recent successes on the return of live local Music Festivals. The pupils were delighted to be performing and listening to other quartets from across the country.

The ‘Slancio’ String Quartet took home 1st place in the Ensemble Class at Holywood Music Festival  and at the Ballymena Festival of Music, Speech and Dance ‘String Quartet 15 years and under class.’

The ‘Allegro’ String Quartet took home 1st place at the Belfast Musical Festival, winning the ‘Fortwilliam Cup’.

Congratulations to the 'Vivace’ String Quartet who were placed in the top 3 of each competition and to the ‘Attacca’ and ‘Andante’ String Quartets who were highly commended in the Belfast Music Festival.

The students are all looking forward to being involved again next year.
