- Primary school level with 1 year's playing experience
- Membership is £59 per annum (£53 for each additional child) for the academic year 2026/27. Those families in receipt of Free School Meals will receive a 70% remission and the cost will therefore be £18 (£16 for each additional child).
Ballymoney Junior String Orchestra is open to all pupils who play string instruments in year 6 and 7 in Primary Schools.
Weekly rehearsals take place in St Patrick's Parish Hall, Ballymoney, Thursdays, 4.15-5.15pm.
This is generally a young musician’s first experience of playing in a larger ensemble and helps to forge friendships, confidence and progress.
The Ballyclare Junior String Orchestra perform in two concerts per year; one around Christmas and another at the end of the Spring term.
