- Minimum Grade 5 (merit) standard
- Membership is £238.14 per annum (£214.33 for each additional child) for the academic year 2026/27. Those families in receipt of Free School Meals will receive a 70% remission and the cost will therefore be £71.44 (£64.30 for each additional child).

The City of Belfast Youth Concert Band (CBYCB) rehearse on Saturday mornings from 9.30am - 12.30pm. It is open to brass, woodwind and percussion students who have achieved at least Grade 5 (merit) standard on their instrument.
