The St. Michael’s College Brass Band was formed in 1979 by Bob Quick and has performed at numerous high profile functions, events and concerts over the years. The band has undertaken tours of England, North America, Spain and Italy and is an integral part of school life. They regularly perform in public concerts, participate in Brass Band League (BBL) contests and enjoy working with some of the best-known brass educators in the UK and Ireland, including Steve Sykes, Steve Mead and David Thornton.

EA Music Service brass tutor, Stephen Crooks, conducts the band and provides tuition to all its members.
