- Membership is £59 per annum (£53 for each additional child) for the academic year 2026/27. Those families in receipt of Free School Meals will receive a 70% remission and the cost will therefore be £18 (£16 for each additional child).

The Maghera Intermediate String Orchestra is open to all pupils at post primary level who have been learning for at least one year.
Weekly rehearsals take place on Thursday afternoons at St Patrick's College, Maghera, 4.15pm – 5.15pm.
Repertoire is varied and challenging and from many different styles and genres; from well-known baroque and classical masterpieces right through to popular music from the stage and screen.

November: 5, 12, 19, 26 *30 (rehearsal & local concert in St Patrick's College, Senior Site)
January: 7, 14, 21, 28

March: 4, 11, *16 rehearsal and Gala concert in the Diamond Hall, University of Ulster, Coleraine
