'Chorale' hits the high notes at Bangor Choral Festival!

EA Music Belfast's Chorale competed in the Bangor Choral Festival at the end of April, winning first prize in their section.

EA Music’s youth choir, 'Chorale', were first prize winners once again at the Bangor International Choral Festival 2026, which took place at the end of April.

Performing to an audience of over 500, the choir captivated listeners with an expressive arrangement of Balfe’s “I Dreamt I Dwelt in Marble Halls”, featuring a stunning solo by Emily McAteer, which drew particular praise. This was contrasted with a fiendishly challenging arrangement of “All the Things You Are” by Gwyn Arch, impressing adjudicators with its precision and stylish delivery.

In their feedback, the adjudicators highlighted the choir’s musical unity, writing:
“It was so lovely to see such a wide age range all singing beautifully together – bravo! Keep it up!”

'Chorale' will be doing just that, as they look forward to returning to Bangor next year to continue their success.
