Springing into concert season in the west

On Monday, 23rd March, EA Music Omagh and Strabane Ensembles joined forces for their annual Spring Concert, delighting a sold-out audience of family and friends at the Strule Arts Centre, Omagh.

It was a spectacular evening showcasing the incredible talent of students from across the Strabane and Omagh area, featuring performances from the Strabane String Orchestra, Omagh Intermediate String Orchestra, Omagh Wind Band, Strabane Wind Band, and the Omagh Junior String Orchestra.

The programme offered a vibrant mix of musical genres, including classical pieces, movie themes, and rhythm and blues. The concert concluded with a thrilling combined performance of ABBA’s Mamma Mia, bringing all 200 young performers together on stage—a moment met with a well-deserved standing ovation from a hugely appreciative audience.

On Thursday 26th March, Fermanagh ensembles entertained a packed St. Michael's College, Enniskillen. 

The audience were treated to performances from the four Junior and Intermediate ensembles who entertained with a varied collection of classical favourites, film music and traditional wind band marches and arrangements of folk classics.
