Entry requirements
- One year’s playing experience/Year 6 and above
- Membership of this ensemble costs £59 per annum (£53 for each additional child) for the academic year 2026/27. Those families in receipt of Free School Meals will receive a 70% remission and the cost will therefore be £17.60 (£15 for each additional child)

The Strabane String Orchestra is open to all pupils who play orchestral string instruments in year 6 and above with 1 year's playing experience.
Weekly rehearsals take place after school on Tuesdays, 4.15pm-5.15pm..
Repertoire is varied and challenging and from many different styles and genres; from well-known baroque and classical masterpieces right through to popular music from the stage and screen.
The SSO perform in two concerts per year; one around Christmas and another at the end of the Spring term in the Alley Theatre.
